Dana grew up in a creative household in Lafayette, raised by a filmmaker, violinist, and portrait photographer. After many years she came back to her roots and raised her three children in the same beautiful town. She volunteered extensively in the Lafayette School District, was PTA President at Burton Valley Elementary School, has been involved in many community activities, and has a deep knowledge of many micro-neighborhoods in the East Bay. She loves the Bay Area for countless reasons, including the cultural diversity, weather, hiking trails, music, dance, and theater.
Dana has a diverse background which has shaped her outlook and her ability to work with her team and clients with authenticity and honesty. She is a graduate of UCLA with a B.A. in Dance and an emphasis in Kinesiology. She danced professionally with a modern dance company in New York–-Laura Dean Dancers and Musicians—which toured domestically and abroad. She later was a faculty member at the National Holistic Institute for Massage Therapy as well as having a full massage therapy private practice. She also had a portrait photography business in San Diego before starting real estate in 2006.
Dana brings her wealth and breadth of experience, including her business acumen, creativity, and high E.Q., to her successful real estate career. She has renovated multiple homes in the Bay Area for herself and her clients, and she has transformed many homes from their current condition to the highest possible return on investment within the client’s budget. She brings experience and an ability to clearly explain the options and complexities within a transaction, and her clients describe her as calm, diligent, and caring.
In her free time, Dana enjoys hiking with her dog, biking, taking dance classes, practicing gratitude and meditation, and watching Netflix with her kids. Her positive outlook combined with her genuine, down-to-earth nature are hallmarks of her business practice.
